Governance and Risk Management

Aerodrop maintains a structured compliance governance posture covering executive oversight, operational risk management, mandatory policy enforcement, and periodic security testing. Our operational workflows are designed around risk prevention, identity verification, and dispute resolution.

KYC, AML, and Fraud Prevention

All Senders, Field Agents, and Hub Partners must complete identity verification before initiating or executing parcel drops. Know-Your-Customer (KYC) checks, National Identification Number (NIN) / Bank Verification Number (BVN) validation, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and fraud detection algorithms operate across every transaction to prevent illicit activity.

Custody, Auditability, and Handover Logging

Every physical parcel handover—Sender to Agent, Agent to Hub, Hub to Agent, Agent to Recipient—is logged as an immutable record containing timestamp, GPS geolocation coordinates, and cryptographic 4-digit PIN confirmation. This complete audit trail enables rapid dispute resolution and evidence preservation.

Data Protection and Technical Security

Our security posture includes TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, strict database Row-Level Security (RLS) policies, role-based admin access, and strict data retention schedules in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.

Escrow Protection and Financial Controls

All parcel fares processed through Paystack are locked in escrow upon booking. Funds are protected and automatically released to Field Agents and hub operators only upon verified completion of the delivery PIN by the recipient.

Regulatory Alignment

Aerodrop continuously reviews its operational controls against Nigerian regulatory standards, including the NDPA 2023, FCCPA 2018, Cybercrimes Act 2015, Money Laundering Act 2022, and relevant CBN consumer protection guidelines.
